About this service

A statutory annual inspection required for all vehicles over 3 years old. We test class 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7 vehicles. The test covers brakes, lights, suspension, steering, tyres, wipers, exhaust, seatbelts, body condition, fuel system and emissions. The MOT fee is set by the DVSA — we charge the maximum statutory amount of £54.85 for a class 4 (cars and small vans). If your vehicle fails, we will give you a free retest within 10 working days as long as you book the repair work with us.

Frequently asked

How long does an MOT take?
About 45 minutes for most cars. Same-day appointments are usually available.
What if my car fails?
We will give you a free retest within 10 working days if you book the repair work with us.
Can I drive my car if the MOT runs out?
Only to a pre-booked MOT test, otherwise it is illegal to drive without a valid MOT and you can be fined up to 1000.
How early can I do my MOT?
Up to 1 month before your current MOT runs out — and your new expiry date will still be 12 months from the original expiry, not the test date.
